As Singapore’s international Tamil theatre festival, Nadagamic brings together artists, audiences, and stories from Singapore and around the world and our volunteers play an essential role in making this experience meaningful, welcoming, and unforgettable.

​

Beyond supporting festival operations, Nadagamic volunteers become ambassadors of the festival, often the very first friendly face that audiences, artists, and guests encounter.

​

A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for working with people are what matter most to us. Whether you are experienced in the arts or simply curious to be part of something exciting, we warmly welcome you to join our festival family.

 

GENERAL REQUIRMENTS

• Aged 16 and above
• Comfortable interacting with the public and international guests
• Possess a positive customer service attitude
• Responsible, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with some physical and outdoor duties where required
• Students, working professionals, retirees, and first-time volunteers are all welcome

VOLUNTEER BRIEFING

Selected volunteers will be required to attend compulsory briefing and orientation sessions prior to the festival. These sessions will introduce volunteers to the festival, venues, standard operating procedures, audience engagement approaches, and assigned responsibilities.

FESTIVAL OPERATIONS

Volunteers will be rostered based on their availability and assigned roles. Shift timings may vary according to festival programming and venue requirements.

VOLUNTEER ROLES

​

FRONT OF HOUSE & AUDIENCE EXPERIENCE

Assist with ticket scanning, ushering, registration, crowd management, queue handling, audience guidance, and attending to patrons’ enquiries across festival venues.

​

FESTIVAL OPERATIONS & VENUE SUPPORT

Support the smooth running of performances, workshops, talks, and special events by assisting the operations and venue management teams. Support festival workshops, youth programmes, forums, and community engagement activities.

​

ARTISTE LIASON & HOSPITALITY

Assist in hosting local and international artists, guests, and delegates while helping create a warm and welcoming festival experience.

​

TECHNICAL AND STAGE CREW

Support backstage operations, basic technical setups, stage transitions, and production coordination where required.

​

MARKETING, CONTENT AND MEDIA

Assist with social media coverage, photography, videography, content creation, and festival documentation.

​

TOKEN OF APPRECIATION

All volunteers will receive:

• 2 complimentary tickets for their preferred production.

• Opportunities to experience selected festival performances and programmes
