SYNOPSIS
A dynamic whole workshop designed for upper primary and secondary students to explore the joy of performance through games, movement, voice, improvisation and storytelling. Blending discipline with play, the workshop introduces young participants to the fundamentals of acting, stage presence and ensemble work in an engaging and supportive environment. Over two immersive days, students build confidence, creativity and collaboration skills — discovering that theatre is not just about performing, but about listening, expressing and working together

Established in 2013, Athipathi International Theatre Ltd is dedicated to producing high-quality Tamil dramas and nurturing theatre talent through systematic training and community engagement. Guided by Artistic Director Mr. Pugalenthii, who brings over 30 years of theatre experience, Athipathi operates with a vision to “Bond Creatively, to Uplift Humanity.” It champions the belief that theatre connects people and uplifts communities, and its motto—“Tamil Theatre is FUN”—reflects its commitment to making Tamil performance accessible and enjoyable across ages and cultures.
Beyond performances, Athipathi is deeply invested in artist development. Its Winmeengal Theatre Project has equipped over 300 emerging actors, playwrights, and directors with practical skills, and the company offers free weekly theatre and acting workshops open to the broader community. It fosters partnerships with community clubs and Indian Activity Executive Committees (IAECs) to bring Tamil theatre into heartland spaces.
PUGALENTHII RAMAKRISHNAN, DIRECTOR
Pugalenthii Ramakrishnan is the Artistic Director and Founder of Athipathi International Theatre Ltd, with over 30 years of experience in Singapore’s theatre and literary sectors. A visionary playwright and former publisher, he has directed over 50 productions and founded Thisaivegam, the nation's longest-running Tamil drama festival. Deeply committed to youth development, Pugalenthii leads the Winmeengal Theatre Project, offering free training to hundreds of aspiring artists. For Nadagamic 2026, he conducts specialized children’s theatre workshops, leveraging his extensive background in storytelling and pedagogy to nurture the creative potential of the next generation.
